Serial Space, 33 Wellington St, Chippendale, is an inter-disciplinary, collaborative and hybrid venue aimed at providing exhibition, performance, discussion, and residency opportunities for artists, musicians, writers and performers in Sydney, Australia and overseas. The three directors bring together a unique range of experience and skills: Alex White was the director of Electro Fringe and Liquid Architecture and has a background in experimental sound; Alice Williams is a theatre and performance artist who has worked in PACT theatre and other performance initiatives for young people and Zanny Begg is a visual artist who has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas. The directors hope to bring together these diverse experiences to create a venue which encourages experimentation in art, sound and performance.

Serial Space emphasizes dialogic forms of creativity which grow out of collaborations, discussions, research and cross-disciplinary art forms. They aim to maintain a lively calendar of exhibitions, workshops, performances, events, residencies and discussions.
